CLARE VALLEY, AUSTRALIA
Pauletts
About 1 ½ hours drive north from Adelaide is the beautiful Polish Hill River sub-region of the Clare Valley , home of Paulett Wines.
The area is blessed with a climate ideal for premium grape growing and the combination of consistently good winter rains, hot summers tempered by cool nights and a long ripening period.
Neil and Alison Paulett purchased the property in 1983 and it has since expanded from the initial 47 hectares to 147 hectares with 25 hectares under vine.
There is a substantial portion of Shiraz and Cabernet vines over 70 years of age and Riesling of 35 years.
The cellar door has become one of the ‘must see’ places in the Clare Valley, often described as having the most spectacular view from any cellar door in Australia.
A lovely balanced, expressive, and effortlessly drinkable wine.

TASTE
Rich and complex, offering a captivating array of dark fruit aromas. Dark cherry, blackcurrant, and blackberry create a bold, fruity foundation, while hints of sawdust oak add a touch of complexity. Subtle notes of black olive lend an earthy, savoury depth to the profile and a trace of liquorice introduces a slightly sweet, spicy element, rounding out the wine’s aromatic character.
